Fear, shame and anger are the feelings that usually arise in situations of gender-specific violence. These three emotions guide the journey that performers and audience members embark on together as WE.

One performance and three installations

It begins and ends with an installation at the gate of the theater. At this location, the border between „outside “ and „inside “ is undefined and invites you to deal with the question of safe and unsafe places. It continues through installations in other rooms that question social norms and beliefs and invite them to participate.

The performance on stage is a collective experience of SORORITY1. WE often have situations in which danger and vulnerability are present. WE forget, deny or even accept these situations as normal. WE know a woman * or are a woman * who is a victim of misogynistic violence and could perhaps even be murdered.
WE as mothers, fathers, partners, daughters, sons, friends, employers, sisters, brothers, employees, … see it coming to us and WE decide not to ignore it and talk about it. Stories, situations and emotions flow together and the WE of SORORITY1 becomes a common voice, a common body. The way WE act together remains at the end of the free design performance.

1 SORORITY: solidarity, sisterhood.
